The Headed Anchor Arc Weld Stud, or headed concrete anchor, is a plain shank stud with an oversized "head" for application with arc stud welding equipment. This type of stud welded fastener is flux-loaded on the weld end for studwelding in concrete embedment and other applications. Available in Mild (Low Carbon) Steel, stainless steel and Aluminum as standards, other special materials and grades are available. By definition and engineered design, the head diameter is twice the size of this weld stud’s body diameter, giving it proper performance for engineered applications. Studwelding of the weld stud burns off a portion of the base so that the pre-weld, post-weld length dimension should be considered. Length dimensions normally are supplied from standardized lengths, with some special order sizes available. All orders for arc weld studs from Davis Stud Welding include ceramic studwelding ferrules properly sized for the weld stud ordered and, in the case of Headed Concrete Anchors; ferrules are available for welding to flat surfaces, inside angles, and outside angles which can be specified when ordering.
