We offer a variety of shipping and pickup options tailored to your needs and location. Depending on your requirements, we can ship via courier, truck, rail, or air. Pickup and delivery services are also available based on your location. We use trusted carriers with live tracking, and our services are available within North America and globally.

What type of warranty comes with the machines?

Our machines come with a 1-year parts and service warranty covering manufacturing defects. We handle all servicing and repairs in-house at our shop in Barrie, Ontario.

Do you offer any training or demonstrations of the products?

Yes, we offer full setup and worker training on all equipment and products, depending on your location. We also exhibit at multiple trade shows where you can experience in-person demonstrations. Additionally, training videos and walkthroughs will be available soon. We provide comprehensive manuals, guides, and exceptional customer support to assist you.

Do you offer rentals?

Yes, all of our equipment is available for rent on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. We also provide the necessary training to ensure you can effectively use the equipment while you rent, helping you decide if it’s the right purchase for you.

Do the machines include any kind of instruction manual?

Yes, all of our machines come with comprehensive instruction manuals.

Do you offer any customer technical support after purchase?

Yes, we are available for all technical support related questions after purchase, just give us a call.

Can I also purchase spare parts, accessories or more studs?

Yes, we are a full-service provider of all parts, accessories, and studs. Whether you need chucks, adapters, legs, footpieces, or custom accessories, we have everything in stock to meet your needs

Can I custom order studs?

Yes, we have extensive experience in manufacturing custom studs. Whether you need specialty tapped fasteners or samples for specific jobs, we can assist with your custom orders.

What is stud welding?

Stud welding involves attaching a metal stud to a metal base material using a high-temperature electrical arc. This arc melts the end of the stud and part of the base material, forming a strong bond when cooled. There are two main types of stud welding:

  • Arc Stud Welding: Typically used to join large fasteners to thicker metal bases.
  • Capacitor Discharge (CD) Welding: Generally used for smaller fasteners on thinner base materials.

What is the difference between Capacitor Discharge (CD) and Arc Stud Welding?

Arc Stud Welding uses high current for full penetration, making it ideal for heavy-duty and structural applications with larger fasteners. CD Stud Welding uses lower current, allowing for quick, shallow welds without backside marks, perfect for lightweight and aesthetic-sensitive applications.

What types of materials can be used with stud welding machines?

Stud welding works with nearly any metal, including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and brass. Even exotic metals like titanium can be welded. Non-metals, such as ceramics, plastics, and rubber, can also be attached to metal surfaces using this method.

The main difference between stud welding and resistance welding lies in their techniques and applications. Stud welding involves attaching a metal stud or fastener to a metal surface using an electric arc that heats both the stud and the base material. This process is quick, often taking only a fraction of a second, and is primarily used to secure fasteners like bolts or threaded rods to various metal surfaces. It’s versatile, suitable for different materials and thicknesses, and is commonly used in construction and industrial manufacturing.

On the other hand, resistance welding joins two metal pieces by applying pressure and passing a high electric current through them. The heat generated by the electrical resistance of the materials causes them to fuse together. This process is typically slower than stud welding and is best suited for joining thin metal sheets, often used in automotive and aerospace industries. Resistance welding requires more complex machinery and is commonly found in automated manufacturing environments. While stud welding is focused on securing fasteners, resistance welding is used to create strong, permanent joints between metal sheets or components

What's included in your rental equipment?

Our rental package comes with everything you need: the stud welder, gun, cables, and ground cable. We also test each unit before it leaves our facility to ensure it’s in perfect working order.

Do I need anything else?

Yes, depending on your project and the type of studs you’re using, you might need a few extra accessories. These consumables are separate from the rental equipment.

How do you charge for rentals?

We offer flexible rental periods—daily, weekly, or monthly—so you can choose what works best for your project.

Can I get a lesson on how to use the equipment?

Absolutely! We want you to feel confident using the stud welder. If you pick up the equipment from our facility, our team will walk you through how to operate it step by step upon pickup.

How quickly can I get a rental?

We keep a wide range of stud welding equipment ready for rent. Usually, we can have it ready for pickup or shipping pretty quickly. Just give us a call for availability.

Do you offer rentals outside of Ontario, Canada?

Yes, we do, depending on your needs and location.

Do I need to put down a deposit?

We’ll need to discuss details however we usually do require a hold on rental equipment.

Is insurance required for rentals?

Yes, you’ll need to sign a “Rental Equipment Agreement”. This agreement covers insurance against loss or damage.
